Land at Rose Terrace /Whittlesey Terrace

Land at the corner of Rose Terrace (now fenced off) is not parish owned land. The land formed part of a field sold by a Mr R Hawes to Oundle and Thrapston Rural District Council when the Shrubberies were built although East Northants Council claim they no longer own it.

This piece of grass was maintained as a verge by the County Council and more recently under licence the Parish Council has arranged for the grass to be cut.

The Parish Council made a number of enquiries in 2009 regarding ownership but was unable to establish a registered owner.

The local resident, concerned about tree root damage to his property has now claimed the land and removed the two trees closest to his property.

Parish Council minutes for February 2010 and May 2009 apply.
